Fred has close to 40 years' experience in the oil and gas industry and has been involved in hundreds of facilities, including some of the largest in the world as well as countless facility troubleshooting and de-bottlenecking projects. Fred is responsible for process design and engineering for power co-generation plants; conventional oil and gas; CO2 recovery; EOR; NGL fractionation and storage facilities; and oil / NGL pipelines.
As a registered engineer in both Alberta and British Columbia, Fred has taught courses on dehydration, fractionation, plant operations, etc. His skill at communicating complex technical subjects to plant operators is unsurpassed.
Fred graduated from the University of Alberta with a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering.
MARK ELLIOTT, P. Eng., VP Operations

Mark has almost 25 years experience in the oil refining industry. For the last several years, Mark has played leadership roles in designing large gas plants for overseas clients and a proposed large gas plant for Nova Scotia. In addition, Mark was involved with the Sable gas project in Nova Scotia where he was responsible for process design, engineering, troubleshooting and project management.
He is a registered engineer in Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan, and provides project management capabilities to the organization.
Mark graduated from the Nova Scotia Technical College (Dalhousie University) with a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering.
JOHN GLASS, Gas Processing Specialist
With almost 40 years' petroleum experience, John is a recognized authority on troubleshooting, de-bottlenecking, and optimizing gas processing plants. He has participated in the start-up of gas plants all over the world, including the Aux Sable ethane extraction plant built at the end of the Alliance Pipeline near Chicago, Illinois.
John provides gas/liquids filtration consulting; technical audits/trouble-shooting; pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up; and process, and mechanical design and review.
He has a Chemical Engineering Technology Diploma from the Lambton College of Applied Arts and Technology (Sarnia, Ontario) and holds a valid Third Class Power Engineering certification from the Government of Alberta.
RON LABEY , P. Eng., Mechanical Engineer

Ron Labey has more than 33 years managing design and construction projects that have involved countless facilities, multi-pad wellsites and thousands of kilometres of pipeline. He has designed and constructed projects that involved commissioning almost 1400 km of pipeline from Alberta, Canada to Wyoming, USA and managed the engineering design and construction of heavy oil facilities in northern Alberta that involved more 130 engineering and construction management personnel.
Ron’s expertise includes project management, construction supervision, design specifications, bid evaluations, procuring mechanical equipment/ piping materials for enhanced oil recovery facilities, gas compression/processing plants, steam flood pilots, water disposal and oil treating facilities.
Ron earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wyoming, USA and an Aeronautical Engineering Diploma from S.A.I.T., Calgary, Alberta. He is a registered engineer in Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan.
GARY GONNASON, P. Eng.

Gary has more than 40 years' experience in the design of electrical systems for the power oil and gas industries. He has provided electrical designs and specifications for large system (heavy power) components all over the world and was involved in the Hibernia offshore platform in Newfoundland, Syncrude's mine expansion in Fort McMurray, AB and Suncor's Firebag SagD production plant in the Athabasca oilsands, AB.
Gary provides specifications, studies and cost estimates, electrical design, evaluations, and electrical design supervision.
He has a B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan.

Thomas has more than 20 years' petroleum experience in the fields of electrical and automation/control engineering. He has comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in the integration of process control and enterprise (business applications) systems related to SCADA, PLC and DCS.
Thomas provides project management; quality assurance procedures; design standards and practices; P&ID and Shutdown Key development; integrated control system programming, configuration and testing; electrical, instrumentation and integrated control system engineering design; and test plan development for start-up, inspection, troubleshooting and commissioning.

VERN HIRSCH, Sr Electrical Designer and VP Finance

Vern has more than 40 years' experience in electrical design for countless sour and sweet oil and gas facilities throughout Canada and internationally. He has extensive experience in grassroots and existing facilities, and was involved in the electrical design of a 4000 BPD per day oil processing facility, the design and material purchase of an MTBE plant in the United Arab Emirates, and the design replacement of two turbine/centrifugal compressors for Solar Turbines in California.
Vern's areas of expertise include ESD and process control, sulphur recovery, fractionization, fugitive emission studies, construction, lighting, gas and fire detection, utility equipment, UPS systems, grounding, and distribution equipment.
Vern earned his First Class Journeyman and Masters Certificates from S.A.I.T., Calgary, AB.
SIMON HAMPSON, Mechanical CADD Manager
Simon has extensive field knowledge in as-building and plant expansion projects involving tie-ins and site evaluations. He is an experienced design coordinator and organizer with a solid background for green field projects, and is well-versed in the creation and operation of drawing control systems.
Simon's responsibilities include the mechanical design and drafting of gas plants, compressor stations, oil batteries, well sites, skid packages, commodity production plants requiring generation of P&ID’s, plot plans, piping plans, isometrics, material lists, pile layouts, and structural details.
Simon graduated from S.A.I.T. in Calgary, AB with a Certificate in Process Piping Design.
WENDY CONQUERGOOD, Electrical CADD Manager

Wendy has extensive knowledge in greenfield and plant expansion projects. She has several years' experience coordinating projects and working with team members to turn project information into finalized drawing packages for release to the Client.
Wendy's responsibilities include overall electrical design and drafting, gas plants, compressor stations, oil batteries and wellsites.

GARNET TREMERE, Automation Group Lead
Garnet has more than 15 years' experience with electrical and oil and gas automation projects. He has comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in the integration of process control and enterprise (business applications) systems related to SCADA, PLC and RTU. He also has several years' experience leading team members to develop, test, implement and commission projects. Recently, Garnet was the team lead in the implementation of two major gas plant system audits and retrofits to meet Directive 17 compliance with regulatory boards.
On the electric utility side, Garnet was forefront in providing system solutions in the implementation of NERC CIP security to utilities across North America and abroad.
Garnet's responsibilities include managing the technical services delivered by the Automation department, which provides integrated control system solutions.
Garnet graduated from the DeVry Institute of Technology, with a B.Sc. in Electronics Engineering Technology.
