Project Engineer/Project Manager

Caber’s Senior Project Engineers plan, coordinate and execute projects to meet client’s goals, schedules and budgets.


Qualifications:

  • B.Sc. (Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, be eligible for immediate registration with APEGGA, and have been registered with a recognized Canadian Professional Association for at least three (3) years
  • Highly experiences in the application of CSA Z662 and ASME B31.3 codes and Alberta, British Columbia & Saskatchewan regulatory knowledge. Working knowledge of CSA Z341 would be a definite asset.
  • Knowledge of Western Canada Sedimentary Basin
  • Engineering Procurement Construction Management Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications. Only education obtained from an accredited institution will be recognized as meeting the minimum qualifications

Experience:
15+ years experience with increasing responsibility working on Western Canadian oil and gas facilities projects


Duties:
Caber’s Senior Project Engineers are responsible for:

  • Initial data gathering, Project Budgeting, Equipment selection & sizing, equipment & material, purchasing, Preparation & submission of applications for consents and permits from Regulatory agencies
  • Preparation & submission of applications for consents and permits from Regulatory agencies
  • Technical preparation & revision of drawings (except drafting)
  • Project activities, scheduling & coordination
  • Communication with clients, field construction personnel on technical & project coordination issues
  • Reporting to upper management & clients on project completion status
  • Training & mentoring junior personnel
  • Technical resource to other team members.
  • Constructing project execution documents (e.g. DBM, SOW, PEP, etc.)
  • Ensuring designs are code compliant, efficient, safe and complete.
  • Propose innovative solutions to technical problems.
  • Other duties as required
